Up for sale, a 1960 Fender Jazzmaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original “knucklebuster” hardshell case. A slab board example from early in the second full year of production, this Jazzmaster is a true rarity with a *one-piece* ash body, featuring a body-only refinish and relic by Carson Hess in vintage spec translucent Blonde nitro lacquer.
Extremely well-balanced on a strap and acoustically lively at 8lbs 5oz, the ash body adds a distinctive tonal color to this Jazzmaster, with a sonic authority, midrange detail and overall breadth that translates faithfully through the original black bobbin pickup pair. The bridge pickup is focused-yet-full, with a rich upper midrange growl and classic treble sparkle.
