1965 Fender Mustang Vintage Offset Guitar Olympic White w/ Case

1965 Fender Mustang Vintage Offset Guitar Olympic White w/ Case

Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Mustang in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case and 100% original save for an upgraded bone nut. This Mustang boasts numerous early features including a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, L-prefix neck plate, a wide bevel nitrate tortoise pickguard, and single-line Kluson tuners.

Featherweight at 6lbs 12oz, this Mustang has a smooth, defined acoustic sound that translates well through the gray bobbin pickups. There's a bold spank in the bridge position, and smooth bell-like cut and percussive snap at the neck. Naturally, one of the most fun sounds on the Mustang is achieved via the pair of three-way on/off/on pickup switches when engaged in their innermost or outermost positions, yielding an out-of-phase hollow quack. This Mustang benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Slender C, measuring .785” 1st fret, .970” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Brazilian rosewood, 7 1/4” radius, pearl dot inlays, faint finger wear behind frets 1-3
-Frets: Slender, leveled/crowned, light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-8

-Nut: 1 1/2”
-Tuners: Kluson single-line
-Serialization: L-prefix stamp (neck plate)
