1965 Silvertone 1457 Vintage Amp-in-Case Guitar & Tube Amp Set, Danelectro USA
The body is crafted from Danelectro’s pairing of a Masonite top and back over a poplar frame and centerblock, resulting in a bold, barking natural acoustic quality, featherweight at 6lbs 3oz. The pickups deliver Danelectro jangle and sparkle, with chiming trebles and a focused, bubbly bass response. When paired with the in-case tube amp, this 1457 offers surprisingly bold cleans and sizzling overdrive with a low noise floor and onboard footswitchable Tremolo. This 1457 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The original Fisher 8” speaker dates to the 10th week of 1965. Controls include Volume and Tone knobs, with Strength and Speed knobs for the footswitchable tremolo.
The case with built-in amp is quite clean, with sparingly little wear on the gray speckled exterior beyond a few minor stains and tiny tears, and the gold grillcloth is very well-kept. The original wedge footswitch is included.
