1995 Fender Custom Shop 1962 Stratocaster Yamano Special Sunburst w/ Birdseye Neck & Case
Features include a heavily figured birdseye maple neck, a slab rosewood fretboard with a modern 9 ½” radius, and an alder body loaded with a trio of vintage-spec black bobbin pickups. Acoustically lively and chiming, these qualities are channeled through the pickups which feature cloth-covered leads, staggered/beveled pole pieces, and black fiber bobbins. These single coils yield quintessential Strat sparkle, honk, and chirp, spanky and immediate at the bridge, with broader, smoother sounds when toggling towards the neck, and hollow quack at the “in-between” positions on the five-way switch. This Custom Shop 1962 Stratocaster weighs 7lbs 12oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
