From an increasingly heralded era of Gibson production, this Les Paul makes the most of the classic combination of a solid mahogany body, carved two-piece maple top, and genuine ebony fretboard, delivering an extremely authoritative, lively and barking natural acoustic quality.
Weighing 10lbs 2oz, this Les Paul has impressive clarity, punch, and midrange presence. The 490R and 498T Alnico magnet humbuckers cover considerable tonal ground: the 490R is Gibson's Modern Classic humbucker, featuring Alnico II magnets and a similar response to a PAF, yet with more midrange emphasis.
