2009 Gretsch G6134 White Penguin Near-Mint w/ Case & Tags

Up for sale, a 2009 Gretsch G6134 White Penguin in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This premium Professional Series Gretsch model, produced in limited quantities, replicates one of the most storied instruments in Gretsch history, effectively combining the construction of a Duo Jet with the aesthetics and appointments of the White Falcon. Features include a pair of DynaSonic pickups and a gloss White finish framed by gold sparkle binding and accented by 24K gold-plated hardware including the Synchro-Sonic bridge, “G” tailpiece, arm rest, and jeweled knobs.

The chambered mahogany/maple construction yields plenty of natural bark and breadth, and the DynaSonic single coils have a sparkling percussive cut and midrange authority. Sensitive to a player's picking dynamics, there's a bell-like twang and roundness to single notes played on the bridge pickup, while the neck position single coil has quite a bit of woof and thickness while still retaining great string to string balance. This G6134 White Penguin weighs 8lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
