1970s Mosrite Ventures Model Vintage Electric Guitar Ash Body w/ Case, Firstman Avenger
Up for sale, a 1970s Mosrite Ventures Model in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A continuation of the Ventures Model legacy, this guitar follows the stylings of the 1960s USA-made Mosrites, but was produced in Japan in the '70s as a result of an agreement between Semie Moseley and the Firstman company. All the hallmarks of classic Mosrite design are present on this model, with a deep German Carve on the rare ash body, Moseley-branded vibrato tailpiece, and a pair of overwound single coil pickups.
The single coil pickups are snappy and sparkling, wound hotly and mirroring ‘60s Mosrite spec at ~11.5k ohms. These single coils deliver a bold, distinct sound in every pickup position with an authoritative treble zing that’s quintessential Mosrite. The neck pickup is fat and broad, while the bridge has a chewier, upper midrange-focused quality. Weighing 8lbs 4oz, this Ventures Model has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
