1972 Fender Telecaster Bass Blonde, Lightweight w/ Wide Range Humbucker, Case

1972 Fender Telecaster Bass Blonde, Lightweight w/ Wide Range Humbucker, Case

Up for sale, a 1972 Fender Telecaster Bass in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. A first-year example of the second iteration of the Telecaster Bass produced from 1972-79, this bass features a Seth Lover-designed Wide Range humbucker in the neck position and an ash body.

Notably lightweight at only 8lbs 5oz and well-balanced on a strap, the slab string through body yields the midrange complexity and punch of ash with the articulate note attack of maple. The Seth Lover-designed Wide Range humbucker in the neck position dishes out particularly thick subwoofer heft, round and full-bodied, with a certain throaty pluck with the foam mute (on the underside of the bridge cover). This Telecaster Bass has been freshly strung with 45-100 roundwound strings, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with easy-playing action and accurate intonation.
