1972 Gibson ES-325 Vintage Semi-Hollow Guitar Walnut, Near-Mint w/ Mini Humbuckers, Case

1972 Gibson ES-325 Vintage Semi-Hollow Guitar Walnut, Near-Mint w/ Mini Humbuckers, Case

Up for sale, a 1972 Gibson ES-325 in showroom-clean condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Representing a fascinating and relatively short-lived chapter in Gibson’s ES line, the 325 was produced from 1972-79. This first year example boasts a unique feature set, very much of its era and unlike any other ES guitar, with a pair of mini humbuckers, harmonica bridge, maple neck, semi-hollow maple body, one-ply black control plate and pickguard, and gloss Walnut finish framed on both sides by multi-ply black binding.

The semi-hollow construction delivers a bold acoustic response with tons of natural resonance, paired with the treble cut inherent to maple as a tonewood. The mini humbuckers are at once detailed, sweet, and smooth, with a focused snarl at the bridge and a broad, warm response at the neck, threading the needle between humbuckers and single coils with a true “best of both worlds” tone. This ES-325 weighs 7lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
