1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom Vintage Guitar Cherry Sunburst w/ T Tops, Case
Lightweight for a ‘70s Les Paul at only 9lbs 5oz and well-balanced on a strap, the tonewoods deliver a classic acoustic foundation, with the warmth and fullness of the mahogany balanced by the articulate top end and snappy attack provided by both the maple cap and the ebony fretboard. This guitar is loaded with an era-correct set of T Top humbuckers with patent number embossed baseplates: all three pickup positions are distinct and rich-sounding, with an articulate growl and cut from the bridge position that has ideal treble detail, while the neck pickup has the expected oomph and fullness. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, we've dialed in this Les Paul Custom with fresh 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

There are two maple dowels on top beneath the bridge, reversing a non-original harmonica bridge installation, and an additional two smaller dowels from mini toggles installed between the knobs. The gloss Cherry Sunburst nitro lacquer finish is otherwise 100% original, exhibiting some checking along bass-side seam in the carved maple cap and subtle vertical checking on the lower bout. There is shallow buckle worming on the back and just a handful of minor dings, largely limited to the lower bout. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
The original black tolex hardshell case with purple plush interior is included.
