1976 H.S. Anderson Bask Bass HS-B1 Vintage Jazz Bass Natural Ash, Japan
Tonewoods include a white ash body, maple neck, and bound maple fretboard. Weighing 11lbs, this bass has loads of natural resonance and sonic authority on tap, with a present midrange faithfully captured by the stock single coil pickups. These hand-wound pickups deliver a bevy of quintessential JB-style tonalities, with plenty of midrange-forward burp and grind, and a sweet treble growl. This HS-B1 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium U, full shoulders, measuring .845” 1st fret, 1.005” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Maple, block inlay
-Frets: Medium, faint wear on frets 1-10
-Scale Length: 34”
-Nut: 1 1/2”, bone
-Tuners: Clover buttons, nickel-plated
Body Specs:
-Wood: White ash
-Pickups: Single coil x2
-Harness: Untouched solder, full-size Japanese pots
-Controls: Volume x2, Tone
-Hardware: Chrome-plated bridge with steel barrel saddles, ashtray bridge cover
-Plastics: Leopard pickguard (Mad Cat-style, one tiny corner split), pointer knobs
The gloss Natural finish has a handful of minor dings on the body as a whole, largely concentrated along the lower bout perimeter, and faint buckle worming central to the lower bout. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with a scant few shallow marks along the profile length that have no impact on playability.
A gigbag is included.
