1977 Yamaha L-10 Vintage Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar, Spruce & Rosewood w/ Case & Hangtag, Japan
1977 Yamaha L-10 Vintage Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar, Spruce & Rosewood w/ Case & Hangtag, Japan
While the L-10 is analogous to the Martin D-28 in many respects, the rounded dreadnought body shape delivers a tonal profile that is distinctly "Yamaha." There’s plenty of projection on tap, and this guitar offers piano-like clarity with excellent balance across all strings when digging in with a flatpick. The trebles are sparkling and bright, while the low end is warm and bold, producing just a touch of brassy growl beneath the fundamental tonality. This L-10 weighs 5lbs 7oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany
-Shape: Soft V, measuring .900” 1st fret, .960” 9th fret
-Fretboard: Ebony, snowflake inlays
-Frets: Slender, pristine
-Scale Length: 25 ⅝”
-Nut: 1 ¾”, bone
-Tuners: Yamaha-branded
Body Specs:
-Wood: Spruce, jacaranda
-Bracing: X
-Bridge: Ebony, carved bone saddle
-Marquetry: Ornate purfling, matching rosette
-Serialization: Five-digit stamp on bracing dates to 1977
The gloss Natural finish presents very well, with faint pick wear on top, one minor finish chip on the bass-side perimeter, and some small dings and finish scratches. The gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean, with just a few shallow marks that are practically imperceptible to the palm.
A hardshell case is included.
