1978 Gibson Les Paul Standard Vintage Guitar Wine Red w/ T Tops, Case
Weighing 9lbs 7oz, tonewoods include a mahogany body, carved three-piece maple top, three-piece maple neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard. The T Top humbuckers offer a sparkling cut, smooth growl and clear note attack at the bridge, while the neck pickup has a bold, sweet quality. This Les Paul Standard has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

-Shape: Slender-to-chunky C, measuring .815” 1st fret, 1.030” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, pearloid flared trapezoid inlays
-Frets: Medium jumbo, leveled/crowned, faint wear on frets 1-7 (favoring the plain strings)
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 11/16”
-Tuners: Gibson "Flower”
-Serialization: Eight digit stamp dates to ‘78
Body Specs:
-Wood: Maple, Mahogany
-Pickups: T Top humbucker x2, Jan, 1978 and Oct, ‘77 date stamps
-Harness: Untouched solder, CTS pots date 1st week of ‘78
-Hardware: Nashville bridge, stopbar, jack plate
-Plastics: Gold reflector cap knobs (replacement), cream pickguard, cream pickup rings/switch surround
Despite being stamped “Cherry Sunburst” in the neck pickup cavity, the gloss Wine Red nitro lacquer finish is 100% original with no touch-up or overspray. There is an area of moderate buckle rash central to the back, and this Les Paul otherwise presents very cleanly, with just a few tiny dings on the top and body perimeter. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
The original hardshell case with silver silkscreen logo is included.
