1979 Fender Stratocaster Vintage Electric Guitar Black, 100% Original w/ Case
Up for sale, a 1979 Fender Stratocaster in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. This quintessential late ‘70s Strat features an ash body and a maple neck with a deep U-shaped profile carve, loaded with the original trio of gray bobbin pickups.
Weighing 8lbs 6oz (lightweight for ‘79), this Strat offers great natural midrange punch, tight low end cut and great treble sparkle via the trio of flat pole alnico magnet pickups. The pickups are notably jangly and sparkling, particularly at the bridge and the “in-between” settings on the five-way switch, which yield a slinky quack and cut. The neck pickup has a fuller bark and a broad, smooth treble response. This Stratocaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
