Up for sale, a 1980 Aria Pro II Tri-Sound Bass TSB-550 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced at the Matsumoku factory in Japan, this finely-crafted bass features seven-ply neck-through construction, a medium 32 1/2“ scale length and a gloss Natural finish.
The seven-ply maple/walnut neck is paired with ash body wings and a slab rosewood fretboard, resulting in exceptional natural resonance and a warm, authoritative acoustic thump. The MB-II humbucker is big and bold, with plenty of low end heft and muscle. The brass nut and robustly built brass bridge add further articulation and top-end growl to the sound, qualities accentuated by a set of 45-100 roundwound strings, and the two-way Dual Sound switch offers series/parallel operation of the humbucker coils.
