Up for sale, a circa 1980 Firstman BS-999 Bass Synthesizer in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. This rare bass synth pedal is functionally very much akin to the Moog Taurus, produced concurrently to that classic synth and delivering a similarly fat, distinctive bass timbre.
Tonally, this synth can range from short, percussive thumps to full-on, beefy analog richness. The BS-999 features a straight-forward, no-frills design and control configuration: the monophonic, single-trigger synth features Octave (Low and High), Effect (Hold, Sustain, and Expand), and Attack (Percussion and Mute) footswitch control sections, plus knobs for Tuning, Sustain, Expand, Tone, and Volume.
