Up for sale, a 1980 Greco BEB-1200 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This exceedingly rare, non-catalog Greco model, produced at the Fujigen factory during the “lawsuit” era of Japanese production, is an extremely faithful take on the B.C. Rich Eagle Bass platform, boasting premium features including a Leo Quan Badass I bridge, active electronics, and DiMarzio Model P split-coil pickups.
The maple neck-through construction results in terrific natural sustain and resonance, and the DiMarzio Model P split-coil pickups are bold and punchy, with tons of low end power on tap. The midrange opens up with a gutsy growl when the bass is pushed hard and overdriven, offering plenty of thick, broad thump when required. And there are a vast array of tonal options available via the active preamp.
