1980 Ibanez PF350 Vintage Guitar Black, 100% Original w/ Case

1980 Ibanez PF350 Vintage Guitar Black, 100% Original w/ Case

Up for sale, a 1980 Ibanez PF350 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Produced at the Fujigen factory from 1979-81, the PF350 was introduced very shortly after the resolution of Gibson’s infamous ‘77-’78 lawsuit against Ibanez, and the design of this instrument has a decidedly “let me copy your homework, I’ll make it a little different” vibe to it. Clearly still taking its overall cues from Gibson’s Les Paul Standard albeit with slightly modified body and headstock shapes, the PF350 also features Maxon-made Super 70 humbuckers with a three-way Tri-Sound toggle for the neck pickup, Gibraltar bridge and Quik Change tailpiece, and a gloss Black finish framed by multi-ply top binding and accented by a tortoise pickguard.

Traditional tonewoods include a solid mahogany body with a maple top, three-piece maple neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard, and this PF350 weights 10lbs 5oz, dishing out tons of natural sustain and resonance. The Maxon-made Super 70 humbuckers are vintage-inspired in their overall tone, boasting Alnico 8 magnet construction and highly responsive to player inputs, with great treble cut, rich growl and fat low end. The bridge is gutsy and full-bodied, and the neck is broad and smooth, with coil tap and parallel wiring configurations available via the Tri-Sound mini-toggle. This PF350 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
