Lightweight at 8lbs 10oz, this Jazz Bass features a basswood body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fingerboard, and these tonewoods ensure a smooth, balanced acoustic response. The pickups are the same ones used in Fender’s early USA-made American Vintage models, with black fiber bobbins, push-back cloth-covered leads and alnico pole pieces. The bridge pickup offers a potent growl and distinctive upper midrange character, while the neck pickup has a thicker, broader quality and inherent smoothness further accentuated by the 45-100 flatwound strings.
