1991 G&L Signature Series L-2000 Bass Sunburst, 100% Original w/ Case
Up for sale, a 1991 G&L Signature Series L-2000 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Produced in limited quantities to celebrate the 10th year of G&L production, this Leo Fender Signature L-2000 was made just one year prior to the legendary guitar innovator’s passing. This premium iteration of the L-2000 platform was part of the Signature Series, instruments crafted from the hand-selected tonewoods and a notably high attention to detail, sporting Leo Fender’s signature on the top at the bass-side horn.
Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard, and this bass weighs 9lbs 4oz. At the heart of the L-2000 is a pair of G&L’s proprietary Magnetic Field Design (MFD) humbuckers, backed by the flexible Tri-Tone control system. The Tri-Tone system features a trio of mini toggles for pickup selection, series/parallel/single coil (tapped) functionality, and active/passive operation, as well as a two-band EQ. There’s a huge array of available tones on tap, from booming low end thump to crisp, focused articulation. This Signature Series L-2000 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
