1991 Gibson Custom Shop Edition Pre-Historic '54 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty w/ Case, Yamano
Produced during an increasingly heralded era of Gibson production colloquially known as the “good wood” era, this Pre-Historic Les Paul Custom boasts a mahogany body with a mahogany top, mahogany neck, and bound ebony fingerboard, faithful to ‘54 spec. The all-mahogany construction yields a potent midrange warmth and bark, paired with the glassy articulation and treble cut of the ebony board. The P-100 pickups offer P-90 performance without the hum, delivering touch-sensitive trebles, midrange growl, and bold, fat low end. This Custom Shop Edition ‘54 Les Paul Custom weighs 12lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
