1992 Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus Trans Amber Monster Top, Near-Mint w/ Tone Specific 57/61 PAFs, Case
Premium upgrades include a pair of Tone Specific 57/61 Deluxe P.A.F. humbuckers (a $960 value, original pickups included), vintage-spec plastics, fully upgraded wiring harness with tightly spec’d pots and Bumblebee tone caps, and a Faber Corsa TP59 Lightweight ‘59-style Tailpiece.
The Classic Plus boasts many features that are notable to the golden age of Les Paul production, such as a '50s headstock shape, thinner binding in the cutaway, push-in tuner bushings, ABR-1 bridge, and a slimmer 1960 neck profile. This Les Paul Classic Plus boasts the traditional tonewood complement of a mahogany body, carved and heavily figured carved AA flame maple cap, one-piece mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard, exceptionally lightweight for a Les Paul at 8lbs 4oz.
The Tone Specific 57/61 Deluxe P.A.F. humbuckers represent the culmination of years of dissecting, testing, and revoicing by ToneSpec founder Randall Van Dyke: designed to be the ultimate P.A.F. tonal profile, these humbuckers pair the warmth and bloom of a set of 1957s with the punch and authority of a 1961-style P.A.F. for an idealized full-yet-articulate, sweet-yet-potent sound. These small batch handmade pickups are carefully calibrated for balance with proprietary magnets aged and charged by ToneSpec. This Les Paul Classic Plus has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Trans Amber nitro lacquer finish veers towards presenting as a Lemon Drop, and the top is a monster, representing some of the tightest, deepest and most lively flame we’ve ever seen on a Classic, easily besting many of Gibson’s Custom Shop Historic tops. Extremely well-kept, cosmetic wear is limited to light buckle worming on the back at the lower bout and just a couple tiny nicks along the lower bout perimeter. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is clean and smooth, highlighting subtle flame figuring in the mahogany.
The original brown Gibson USA hardshell case is included, along with the original pickups, tailpiece, and plastics.
