1993 Fender Custom Edition Jazz Bass JB62G-70 Charcoal Red w/ Gold Hardware, Japan MIJ

Up for sale, a 1993 Fender Custom Edition Jazz Bass model JB62G-70 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted during the golden age of “Made in Japan” production, this rare Jazz Bass was offered for just one year as part of the Custom Edition line, featuring a gloss custom color Charcoal Red finish accented by gold hardware.

Tonewoods include an American basswood body and a maple neck capped by a thick slab rosewood fretboard, and this bass weighs 9lbs 3oz. The bridge pickup delivers plenty of cut and burp, with a smooth treble grind and more warmth and thickness via the neck pickup. This Custom Edition Jazz Bass JB62G-70 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium U, measuring .830” 1st fret, .985” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, vintage-spec 7 ¼” radius
-Frets: Slender, no wear
-Scale Length: 34”
-Nut: 1 1/2”, bone
-Tuners: Clover buttons
-Serialization: “Made in Japan,” N-prefix
-Factory Markings: Model stamps on neck heel/pocket, neck heel pencil-dated 3-23-93

Body Specs:

-Wood: American basswood
-Pickups: JB-Vintage single coil x2
-Controls: Volume x2, Tone x1
