Up for sale, a 1996 Ibanez J Custom RG1508 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. An extremely rare J Custom RG Series Ibanez produced at the Fujigen factory in Japan for just one year, features include an HSH trio of DiMarzio pickups, Floyd Rose-licensed Lo-Pro Edge tremolo, RG J Custom neck profile, and a heavily figured flame maple top with a gloss Amber finish.
Tonewoods include a mahogany body with a two-piece flame maple top, maple neck, and slab 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. The DiMarzio pickup trio comprises a Super 3 at the bridge, Blue Velvet single coil in the middle, and FRED at the neck: the FRED is one of Satriani’s go-to pickups, yielding roughly the same power as the PAF Pro, but with tons of rich overtones, creating a sound with more crank and growl.
