2000 Rickenbacker 360/12CW Carl Wilson Signature 12-String Fireglo, 370/12 Conversion, Near-Mint w/ Case, COA, Tags
This exact guitar has achieved its own minor celebrity, featured on the “Rickbeat” website 20+ years ago and previously owned and modded by Paul Mutchler (The Belltowers, The Lears) with a central third Toaster Top pickup. While this guitar previously also had Byrds-centric wiring, it was subsequently restored with the original harness.
The semi-hollow maple body is one of the most uniquely and heavily figured from the Carl Wilson run, with deep, dimensional bubble figuring on the back, and tight, straight flame figuring across the top. The guitar delivers a full, authoritative natural acoustic quality with great percussive chop. Plugged in, this 360/12CW delivers quintessential Rickenbacker sparkle and jangle via the trio of Toaster Top pickups: wound hotter than later toaster reissues, these pickups deliver plenty of sparkle, articulation and chime, capturing the full sonic spectrum of all twelve strings, with that quintessential Ric jangle. Weighing 6lbs 13oz, this Carl Wilson Limited Edition 360/12CW has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
