Up for sale, a 2001 Ibanez Prestige S Series S470 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. This rare iteration of the S470 was crafted at the Fujigen factory as part of the upscale Prestige line. And while sparingly little information is available about this instrument, it appears to have been a limited edition run of the S470, boasting a mahogany body with satin Black finish, HSH Quantum pickups, Lo-TRS tremolo, and a two-tone wave/flag inlay at the 12th fret.
The exceedingly slender mahogany body ensures this guitar is featherweight at just 6lbs 7oz, providing the midrange warmth and growl inherent to that particular tonewood. The Quantum pickups include a QM1 neck humbucker, QM2 bridge humbucker, and QMS1 middle position single coil; these high end pickups feature ceramic magnet construction, designed to yield an ideal blend of power and articulation. The humbuckers are warm and full, with slightly more focused aggression at the bridge and broader girth at the neck, and the middle position single coil is fat and punchy, complementing the humbuckers well at positions 2 and 4 on the five-way pickup selector switch.
