The Collings 001 is a marginally larger variant of Collings’ perennially popular 01, which was inspired by classic small-body Pre-War Martins; this “MH” variant features all-Honduran mahogany construction, with premium features including Pre-War scalloped bracing, tortoise binding, and a high gloss nitro lacquer finish.
All woods are acquired, acclimated, and hand-selected by the master luthiers at Collings, and each component is picked with the "whole tonality of the end instrument in mind." The mahogany body and neck are paired with an ebony fingerboard, with 12 frets clear of the body.
