2023 Taylor Builders Edition 914ce Kona Edgeburst, Sinker Redwood + Honduran Rosewood w/ Case
2023 Taylor Builders Edition 914ce Kona Edgeburst, Sinker Redwood + Honduran Rosewood w/ Case
Sourced from old-growth logs submerged in Northern California riverbeds, the sinker redwood top has Taylor’s proprietary V-Class bracing, designed to accentuate the vibrancy of the wood. Further premium tonewoods include solid Honduran rosewood back and sides, a neo-tropical mahogany neck, and a West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard. Honduran rosewood’s high density yields a harmonically rich, remarkably smooth voice that blends beautifully with sinker redwood’s warmth, power and touch sensitivity.
Taylor's Expression System 2 is designed to faithfully reproduce the instrument’s natural tone. This system utilizes three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors installed behind the saddle and through the bridge to capture top and string vibration. Created in partnership with audio pioneer Mr. Rupert Neve, Taylor's electronics are seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. This Builders Edition 914ce weighs 5lbs 3oz, dialed in beyond the factory setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
