Dealer sourced and never privately owned, this Custom Shop GA model features a Western red cedar top with V-Class bracing, Indian rosewood back and sides, a gloss Shaded Edgeburst finish, and Taylor’s Expression System 2 electronics.
Taylor's Custom models are unique, player-designed guitars created through Taylor's bespoke program, allowing customization of body shapes, tonewoods, aesthetics, and features, often resulting in one-of-a-kind instruments. The Western red cedar top has Taylor’s proprietary V-Class bracing, designed to accentuate the vibrancy of the wood. Further premium tonewoods include Indian rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck, and a West African Crelicam ebony fretboard. Taylor’s Grand Auditorium body shape offers abundant projection, featuring the lower bout width (15 ⅞”) and depth of a dreadnought with a more slender waist. Voiced for a variety of genres and playing styles, this V-Class braced model offers the shimmering trebles and sweet percussive cut historically associated with the Taylor brand.
Taylor's Expression System 2 is designed to faithfully reproduce the instrument’s natural tone. This system utilizes three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated sensors installed behind the saddle and through the bridge to capture top and string vibration. Created in partnership with audio pioneer Rupert Neve, Taylor's electronics are seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up.
