2025 Sola Sound Damask Pro MKII Tone Bender Fuzz Champagne Beige, Mint w/ Box, David Main D*A*M

Up for sale, a 2025 Sola Sound “Damask” Pro MKII Tone Bender in mint condition, complete with the original box and paperwork. Crafted by master pedal builder David Main of D*A*M Stompboxes in South Yorkshire, this rare spin on the Tone Bender platform is 1 of 50, offered exclusively by Macari’s in the UK.

Widely considered one of the most important stompboxes of all time, the original Gary Hurst-designed MKII Tone Bender is most famously associated with Jimmy Page, who received one just prior to the recording of Led Zeppelin 1. It’s an immediately recognizable fuzz tone, with ample aggressive bite and headroom, ranging from thin buzzsaw sizzle to churning, bass-rich destruction with a turn of the Attack knob. The circuit features three Mullard germanium transistors, including an OC42, OC84, and highly sought-after OC82D green jacket, carefully sourced from thousands of potential candidates, with very few making the cut.

The enclosure features a sand cast Champagne Beige finish with pristine graphics, and the hand-numbered sticker on the top edge of the unit is present (#011). The inside of the baseplate is signed by David Main.

The original box and factory paperwork are included, dating to 2025 and signed by Anthony and Steve Macari.
