1970 Gibson ES-175 D Vintage Hollowbody Guitar Ice Tea Sunburst, Collector-Grade w/ Pat # T Tops, Case

1970 Gibson ES-175 D Vintage Hollowbody Guitar Ice Tea Sunburst, Collector-Grade w/ Pat # T Tops, Case

Up for sale, a circa 1970 Gibson ES-175D in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A stunningly well-kept guitar with an equally pristine case, the presentation of this vintage ES-175 is head and shoulders above the vast majority of examples from the era.

Acoustically, the fully hollow maple body delivers a big, open sound with both the immediate attack and clarity of maple, and an airy, smooth quality befitting the hollowbody construction. The Pat # T Top humbuckers are warm and detailed: the bridge has a spongy growl and focused midrange intensity, while the neck pickup is expansive and harmonically rich. This ES-175D weighs 6lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 roundwound strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
