Up for sale, a 1975 Greco L-200 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. By far the highest priced instrument in Greco's lineup at the time of production, and first seen in the ‘76 catalog, the L-200 is a no-corners-cut faithful recreation of Gibson’s L-5 CES, featuring carved tonewoods throughout, multi-ply binding and premium hardware and plastics, featuring a set of Maxon’s U-3000 humbuckers.
Boasting a full 17" lower bout with a carved, tight-grain premium spruce top, curly maple sides, and bookmatched flame maple back, the size of this archtop yields rich textured tones with a distinct woody quality and complex midrange character. Naturally, the ebony fretboard imparts a glassy note attack and superior articulation integral in round, present tonalities in every register and the kind of note separation essential to complex Jazz chord voicings. One of the highest grade pickups offered on any Greco of their era, the pair of Maxon U-3000s are a highly sought-after Maxon humbucker, featuring Alnico 8 magnets with a response akin to a PAF.
