1979 Gibson ES-335 TDW Semi-Hollow Vintage Guitar Walnut, Tarback + DiMarzio Super Distortion, Case
The semi-hollow maple body features a particularly dark Walnut gloss nitro lacquer finish, with light flame figuring along the three-piece maple neck. The original Tarback humbucker in the neck position is fat and full, with a smooth and creamy midrange character, featuring the option to be coil tapped for single coil sparkle via the factory two-way toggle on the treble-side cutaway. The Super Distortion in the bridge position, DiMarzio’s ever-popular overwound design, is focused and aggressive, offering plenty of growl and power. This ES-335 TDW weighs 8lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
