Up for sale, a 2011 Gibson Custom Shop ES-335 Dot in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, CoA and hangtag. Produced at Gibson’s lauded and since shuttered Memphis, TN factory, this Custom Shop ES-335 features a gloss Ebony nitro lacquer finish and a pair of 57 Classic humbuckers, 100% original save for a replacement bone nut.
The semi-hollow maple/poplar/maple body construction delivers treble detail and a certain tonal breadth and sweetness, qualities translated faithfully via the '57 Classic PAF humbuckers. These pickups offer a smooth bass register, tailored midrange, and articulate trebles, consistent with Gibson's golden era "Patent Applied For" pickups. The pickups have ample clarity and power, with a slightly hotter bridge pickup and a round neck position humbucker that has great bloom and complex harmonics.
