1990 Epiphone Casino Natural Near-Mint, Pre-Elitist Revolution w/ Case & Hangtag, Japan Terada

1990 Epiphone Casino Natural Near-Mint, Pre-Elitist Revolution w/ Case & Hangtag, Japan Terada

Up for sale, a 1990 Epiphone Casino in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtag. Produced in Japan at the Terada factory, this is an early Epiphone reissue which preceded the "Elitist" line, sporting a gloss Natural finish and a pair of dogear P-90 pickups.

Acoustically, the fully hollow maple body has a smooth, bright tone, offering an ideal platform for the stock pair of P-90 pickups. The pickups are wound to vintage spec with plenty of midrange bark, and a glassy, percussive quality. Offering a refinement far beyond most other modern Casino reissues, these pickups are sensitive to picking dynamics with an overarching sweetness and sparkling cut, equally suited to articulate cleans and rich overdrive. Featherweight at 6lbs 11oz, this Casino has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple (three-piece)
-Shape: Slender C, measuring .785” 1st fret, .880” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, parallelogram inlays
-Frets: Medium jumbo, no wear
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 9/16”, bone
-Tuners: Kluson-style, Gotoh

Body Specs:

-Wood: Maple
-Pickups: P-90 x2
-Controls: Volume x2, Tone x2, Three-way pickup selector
-Hardware: Trapeze tailpiece, ABR-1 bridge, “dogear” pickup covers
-Plastics: Reflector cap knobs, three-ply pickguard with “E” Epsilon silkscreen logo
-Serialization: Orange oval label dates to ‘90

The gloss Natural finish highlights subtle curly figuring in the maple, and there are just a few faint finish scratches on the body. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included, along with the serialized hangtag (dated 90-12-8).
