Up for sale, a 1970s Garnet Pro B190D vintage tube amp head in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Crafted in Canada with point-to-point wiring, the Pro is the little brother of the notorious Garnet "BTO" (Big Time Operator), boasting a similar circuit and layout powered by a single pair of 6CA7 (EL34) power tubes.
Present on this design is the infamous Stinger fuzz circuit, delivering a crushingly powerful and sizzling sound that has to be heard to be believed. The tremolo circuit produces a very strong pulse, and each of the three main controls (Treble, Bass, and Volume) feature a boost circuit that can be engaged via the push/pull knobs for further accentuating treble and bass frequencies, along with a “bright” boost. The circuit retains the stock Hammond transformers, silicone rectifiers, and premium capacitors including Sprague Black Beauties. Tubes include a matched pair of vintage USA made 6CA7 (EL34) power tubes, an Emerson-branded rectifier, and a majority of vintage Westinghouse-branded preamp tubes.
The enclosure retains the original black tolex, raised Garnet logo and iconic oversized knob set.
