1980s Burny John Sykes LC-70JS Black Beauty Custom Vintage Guitar w/ Mono Case, Fernandes Japan

Up for sale, a 1980s Burny John Sykes model LC-70JS in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced under the umbrella of the Fernandes company in Japan, Burny has long been lauded for making some of the finest “lawsuit” LP instruments, with great adherence to vintage Gibson spec and premium fit and finish work. Paying tribute to ‘80s riff realm staple John Sykes, most notable as a guitarist for both Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake, this sleek LC-70JS sports Sykes’ signature aesthetic with mirrored pickup rings.

Weighing 9lbs 4oz, tonewoods include a mahogany body, carved maple top, and mahogany neck capped by a bound rosewood fretboard. The VH-3 and VH-3J humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions are wound firmly in the PAF-style vein, delivering smooth treble bark, clear low-mids, and thick, growling cut. This LC-70JS has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
