1981 Tokai Love Rock LS-200 Flame Top Burst Vintage Guitar Trans Amber w/ Zebra Goto Humbuckers, Lifton-Style Case
1981 Tokai Love Rock LS-200 Flame Top Burst Vintage Guitar Trans Amber w/ Zebra Goto Humbuckers, Lifton-Style Case
Tokai's LS-200 “Pro Model” was the highest tier model at the time of production, available only via custom order, featuring hand-picked tonewoods and premium components, including a cashew lacquer finish, “Goto” humbuckers, and a two-piece carved flame maple top.
Lightweight at 8lbs 12oz with no weight relief, tonewoods include a one-piece mahogany body, two-piece carved curly flame maple top, one-piece mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard. The Goto “Patent Applied For” humbuckers are wound in the vein of Gibson’s golden age PAF, delivering the tailored midrange clarity and sweet warmth of that iconic design with a hair more power and presence: the bridge has a touch of heat, with a snarling, focused aggression, while the neck pickup offers a broad airy quality balanced by smooth treble punch. This LS-200 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Trans Amber cashew lacquer finish highlights the dimensional figuring in the curly flame maple top, particularly dynamic at the bass-side lower bout, and cosmetic wear is limited to some minor dings and finish scratches on the back and a few small chips at the lower bout perimeter. The gloss lacquer finish on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
The original Lifton-style hardshell case is included.
