2025 Victoria Vicky Vibe Jr. Tweed Princeton-Style Tube Amp w/ Custom Mods
Victoria offers some of the finest boutique Tweed-style amps on the market, favored by players including Joe Bonamassa and Dan Auerbach. Hand-wired in Naperville, Illinois, this Vicky Vibe Jr. is essentially a beefed-up Tweed Princeton with Tremolo - something like a “Tweed Vibro Champ,” as Victoria puts it.
Victoria have souped up the output transformer and associated circuitry, allowing this Class A cathode bias amp to run off a single 6V6, 6L6, or EL34, enabling a wide array of tonal and wattage options from 2.5W to 12W (not dissimilar to a Victoria Regal in that regard, just a single tube version). This particular Vicky Vibe Jr. is loaded with a Russian-made Electro Harmonix EL34, putting out roughly 12 watts of power. Additionally, the Half-Power switch enables “bedroom” volume levels without loss of tone.
Alongside the EL34, the rest of the tube complement comprises two Tung-Sol 12AX7 preamp valves and a Sovtek 5AR4 rectifier. The hand-wired circuit features premium, vintage-spec components throughout including Sprague capacitors, Allen Bradley resistors, and CTS pots. The speaker is a 12” Eminence Legend, specially voiced for Victoria, perfectly well-suited for the muscular clarity and sweetness of the circuit.
The lacquered tweed covering is notably clean, as is the oxblood grillcloth and premium leather handle. The faceplate and graphics are pristine, with perfect white silkscreen text and a full complement of chicken head knobs.
