Gibson Custom Historic 1934 Jumbo Reissue, Adirondack Red Spruce, VOS Vintage Sunburst

Gibson Custom Historic 1934 Jumbo Reissue, Adirondack Red Spruce, VOS Vintage Sunburst

The guitar that started the legacy of Gibson Jumbo acoustics. Introduced in 1934, the aptly-named Jumbo was the largest flattop Gibson had produced up to that point, only available for two years before it was phased out and replaced by the AJ and J-35. Crafted at Gibson’s Bozeman, MT factory, this Custom Shop Historic reissue of the original features a thermally aged Adirondack red spruce top with traditional hand-scalloped advanced X bracing (hot hide glue construction), mahogany back/sides, Historic V neck profile, firestripe pickguard, and VOS Thin Finish Vintage Sunburst nitro lacquer finish.

Boasting a 25” scale length and 4 1/2” body depth, this Custom Historic 1934 Jumbo is an absolute cannon, with ample projection and power, a big, round low end and crisp, lively trebles.
