Up for sale, a 2000 Fender “Designer Edition” American Vintage ‘62 Telecaster Custom in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original tweed hardshell case, hangtags and case candy. This rare USA-made Telecaster is purportedly one of just 60 produced in a limited run for the Alliance of Independent Music Merchants, boasting flame maple veneers on the top and back of the body, highlighted by a gloss Crimson Transparent finish.
Tonewoods include an alder body and maple neck capped by a thick slab rosewood fretboard, delivering a smooth, balanced natural acoustic quality that translates well through the upgraded Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot Tele pickups. These black bobbin single coils feature Alnico magnets and cloth-covered leads, offering punchy lows and quintessential Tele twang and sparkle at each position on the three-way pickup selector.
