2013 Fender + MJT Stratocaster Partscaster Classic 60s Neck & Burgundy Mist Lacquer Body w/ Case

2013 Fender + MJT Stratocaster Partscaster Classic 60s Neck & Burgundy Mist Lacquer Body w/ Case

Up for sale, a 2013 Fender Stratocaster Partscaster, pairing a Fender Classic ‘60s neck and a MJT (official Fender-licensed) body finished in Burgundy Mist nitro lacquer, complete with a hardshell case.

Outfitted with genuine Fender hardware and electronics, this Strat features the traditional tonewood combination of an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fingerboard. The V-Mod single coil pickups were designed by legendary pickup guru Tim Shaw. Specifically voiced for each position, these single coils feature a mixed Alnico magnet (Alnico 2 and 5) design, delivering nuanced, detailed classic Strat tonalities. The bridge pickup is big and bold, while the neck has a smooth woody chop, and the “in-between” positions on the switch yield hollow quack. Additionally, the treble-bleed circuit on the Volume knob prevents a loss of high frequencies when rolling down the control. Weighing 7lbs 11oz, this Stratocaster build has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

Manufacturer: Fender (Classic ‘60s)
Wood: Maple
Shape: Slender C, measuring .825” 1st fret, .895” 12th fret
Fretboard: Rosewood, 9 1/2“ radius
Frets: Slender, no wear
Scale Length: 25 1/2”
Nut: 1.650“ (42mm), bone
Tuners: Kluson-style, Gotoh
Serialization: MX13-prefix, (“Made in Mexico,” 2013)

Body Specs:

Manufacturer: MJT
Wood: Alder
Pickups: V-Mod single coil x3
Harness: CTS pots
Controls: Volume (Treble-bleed), Tone x2, Five-way pickup selector
Hardware: Vintage-spec Synchronized Tremolo, jack cup, “Corona, California” neck plate
Plastics: Four-ply dark red tortoise pickguard, aged white knobs/pickup covers

The Burgundy Mist nitro lacquer finish was executed by MJT (who also supplied the body), and the lacquer is shot nice and thin for maximal resonance. The finish aging from MJT is very minimal, presenting as a “Closet Classic,” with just a few minor dings and finish scratches on the back. Any minimal natural playwear is indistinct from MJT’s light aging. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

A black tolex hardshell case is included.
