Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, and this ST62-FR weighs 8lbs 2oz. While the middle pickup is the original ceramic magnet single coil, both the neck position single coil and bridge humbucker have been upgraded. The Seymour Duncan SH-1B in the bridge delivers warm and crystalline cleans, with fat and clear distortion characteristics. The DiMarzio DP420 Virtual Solo is a high output single coil, full and warm with particularly smooth trebles, tight lows and more pick attack. This ST62-FR has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, dialed in with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
