Up for sale, a 1983 Fender Stratocaster ‘62 vintage reissue model ST62-85 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Produced in the second year of Fender Japan production, this "Japanese Vintage" (JV) series guitar is an uncommon higher-tiered model, boasting the same black bobbin pickups and steel vibrato block used on the Fender USA Fullerton factory reissues from the same year.
This alder-bodied Strat has a balanced, lively natural acoustic quality which translates faithfully through the trio of single coils. These pickups feature staggered alnico magnets, black fiber bobbins and push-back, cloth-covered leads, delivering quintessential Strat sparkle and spank: the bridge pickup is punchy and immediate, with classic Strat quack at the “in-between” positions on the three-way pickup selector switch, and the neck pickup yields a broad, smooth sound with great clarity and sweetness.
