1983 Fender JV Stratocaster '62 Vintage Reissue ST62-65 Metallic Pink w/ Case, Japan MIJ Fujigen
These extremely well-crafted instruments paralleled Fender's USA reissue production at the Fullerton factory, and this Strat is extremely accurate to vintage spec with a resonant alder body, thick slab rosewood fretboard on the one-piece maple neck, offering a smooth, balanced acoustic quality that translates well through the pickups. The guitar retains its original trio of black bobbin single coils, purportedly USA-made according to Fender Japan's '83 catalog, featuring untouched solder joints. The bridge pickup is sparkling and clear, while the neck pickup has ideal fullness and a chiming bell-like top end. The five-way switch makes it easy to access quintessential Strat quack and cut in positions 2 and 4 too. The guitar weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with low action, spot-on intonation, and fresh 10-46 strings.
