1986 Fender Order Made Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster ST62 Yellow White w/ USA Dimarzio DP117, Japan MIJ Fujigen
1986 Fender Order Made Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster ST62 Yellow White w/ USA Dimarzio DP117, Japan MIJ Fujigen
While Fender Japan has produced numerous Yngwie models over the decades, rosewood fretboard examples are exceedingly uncommon, with maple being the predominant default. The two USA-made DiMarzio HS-3 (DP117) stacked single coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions pair with a Fender Japan ST-Current single coil in the middle (matching Yngwie's preferred pickup complement). The Dimarzio HS-3s offers hum-free performance with a broad low end that's warm and tight with a smooth, glassy treble response. These qualities combine perfectly with a heavily distorted amp, engineered for neo-classical shred. This Order Made Stratocaster weighs 8lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Slender C, measuring .775” 1st fret, .875” 12th fret

-Frets: Slender, no wear
-Scale Length: 25 1/2”
-Nut: 1.650” (42mm), bone (replacement)
-Tuners: Kluson-style, Gotoh
-Serialization: “Made in Japan,” E-prefix
-Factory Markings: Neck heel pencil dated 12-20-86, model and Order Made stamps on neck pocket
Body Specs:
-Pickups: DiMarzio HS-3 (DP117) x2, ST-Current x1
-Harness: Untouched solder, full-size Japanese pots date to December, 1986

-Hardware: Six-point vibrato, jack cup
-Plastics: Three-ply pickguard, aged pickup cover/knobs
The gloss Yellow White finish began as a subtly tinted factory shade of Olympic White, with significant additional yellowing of the clear coat, pushing a shade of "Rebel Yellow." This is a well-kept example, with cosmetic wear limited to faint buckle scratches central to the back (largely constrained to the cavity cover) and a few minor dings on the back and lower bout perimeter. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
