1987 Fender '57 Stratocaster ST57-115 Sunburst Lacquer w/ USA Pickups & Case, Japan MIJ Fujigen
Traditional tonewoods include an alder body and a one-piece flame maple neck, and this Strat has a balanced, lively natural acoustic quality. Featuring the same 57/62 black bobbin pickups seen in the early American Vintage models, these pickups feature staggered unbeveled alnico magnets and push-back cloth-covered leads. Via the three-way pickup selector, this Strat delivers a sweet sparkle at the bridge and a notably smooth treble response. There’s a woody chop on tap from the middle pickup with a fat, bell-like quality to the neck position. Weighing 7lbs 12oz, this ST57-115 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
