Up for sale, a 1992 Fender Order Made Yngwie Malmsteen-spec Stratocaster in near-mint, 100% original condition, finished in custom color Candy Apple Red. This “Made in Japan” Strat was produced at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan as part of the Order Made program, which offered numerous non-catalog finish and component options. This particular Strat is one of the more unique examples of the Yngwie platform, with Order Made features that blend 1957 and 1962 Stratocaster models. The one-piece maple neck (and scalloped maple fingerboard) evoke a 1957 Stratocasater, while the mint green pickguard is a ‘62-centric feature.
The guitar features a pair of USA-made DiMarzio HS-3 (DP117) stacked single coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions, with Fender Japan's ST-Current single coil in the middle (matching Yngwie’s preferred pickup complement). The Dimarzio DP117s offers hum-free performance with a broad low end that's warm and tight with a smooth, glassy treble response.
