1994 Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster Butterscotch, Near-Mint w/ Tweed Case, Hangtags & Custom Shop '51 Nocaster Pickups

Up for sale, a 1994 Fender American Vintage ‘52 Telecaster in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. One of Fender’s most popular (and since discontinued) USA-made vintage reissue models, this Tele is faithful to ‘52 “Blackguard” spec, boasting a gloss Butterscotch Blonde nitro lacquer finish and upgraded with Custom Shop '51 Nocaster pickups.

Weighing 7lbs 12oz, the ash body and one-piece maple neck result in a lively, resonant acoustic platform with plenty of midrange detail and punch. Rewired for “modern” wiring (Bridge, Bridge + Neck, Neck), this Tele features an upgraded pair of Fender's Custom Shop ‘51 Nocaster pickups. These single coils feature flush mount Alnico 3 magnets and a tin-plated copper baseplate on the bridge pickup, black fiber bobbins, and cloth-covered leads. These pickups can chime and twang with the best, with a distinctive sound in each pickup position. This American Vintage ‘52 Telecaster benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Butterscotch Blonde nitro lacquer finish highlights the uniform grain of the ash body and exhibits limited checking on top, with some light buckle scuffing on the back and a couple small nicks on the top and lower bout perimeter. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
