1999 Fender Jaguar '62 Vintage Reissue JG66-85 Candy Apple Red w/ Mastery Bridge + Vibrato & Lollar Pickups, Japan CIJ
The traditional tonewood complement comprises an alder body with a maple neck capped by a rosewood fretboard, delivering a clear, balanced natural acoustic tone. Plugged in, this Jag delivers the goods via the upgraded Lollar Jaguar pickups. These celebrated boutique single coils are faithful to circa 1962-63 Jaguar pickup design, with black fiber bobbins, flush-mounted Alnico pole pieces, and cloth-covered leads. A bit rounder and fuller-sounding than some current Fender Jaguar pickup winds, these single coils also have Lollar's signature detail and glassy treble. Engage the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn for darker, meatier tones, or flip the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for thinner tic-tac sounds. This Jaguar JG66-85 weighs 8lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
